Kristin is really interested in discovering the names of flowers, trees, insects, animals and birds. My capacity to care about most of their names is limited. Often when we hike, Kristin will first ask me what flower or bird we see. In Ireland, I just started answering “hydrangea,” which really meant I had no clue. Kristin would then look it up on her phone since I was useless.
Today though, I was fascinated by Dr. Andrew Gosler, Professor of Ethno-Ornithology at Oxford University, being interviewed on the Undeceptions podcast. Dr. Gosler cares deeply about birds and nature. He cares deeply about Creation Care. He cares deeply about Jesus. The interview was very beneficial to me.
I love that there are those who care deeply about birds! I love that Dr. Gosler became a follower of King Jesus by reading and studying books by Dr. Richard Dawkins, the noted “New” Atheist. The Creator can use many ways to draw people into his kingdom, even books by those who reject his kingship and existence.
