1 1-2 The Word was first,<\/em><\/strong> the Word present to God,<\/em><\/strong> God present to the Word.<\/em><\/strong> The Word was God,<\/em><\/strong> in readiness for God from day one.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3-5 Everything was created through him;<\/em><\/strong> nothing\u2014not one thing!\u2014<\/em><\/strong> came into being without him.<\/em><\/strong> What came into existence was Life,<\/em><\/strong> and the Life was Light to live by.<\/em><\/strong> The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness;<\/em><\/strong> the darkness couldn\u2019t put it out.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 6-8 There once was a man, his name John, sent by God to point out the way to the Life-Light. He came to show everyone where to look, who to believe in.
